About sharing Notes with others

  • Once you have shared your Note, your recipient will remain in a Pending status until they accept the share. You can click Resend Invitation icon or Cancel Invitation icon .
  • Once your recipient accepts, that Note is shared with them. If updates are made to the Note, you must share again to ensure the recipient has the most updated version of the Note. If desired, you can click the Revoke Access icon to remove their access.
Note: Attachment download time for recipients may vary depending on the size of the file(s) being shared.

About hidden passwords for shared items

When you share an item, regardless of whether you enable the 'Allow Recipient to View Password' option, you should be aware of the following:

  • Savvy end users could potentially access the password if they capture it using advanced techniques, but LastPass will never be able to access this data because it has been encrypted using their public key.
  • It is also possible to obtain shared passwords using another password manager.

Lastpass Secure Password

For these reasons, LastPass recommends that you generate a secure password for the site that you're sharing in order to avoid sharing any passwords that you're uncomfortable with the recipient obtaining.

About Note history

You can review changes made to your Notes by viewing the Note history.

Note: The Note History only shows a record of the last 5 changes made to each Note.
